same show being recorded twice since added OTA

I just add a dual ATSC/OTA setup using an antenna and hdhomerun to the setup I already had with dual QAM via hdhomerun and dual analog cable via hauppauge pvr 500.

Just noticed last night that Sage was recording the simpsons on channel 12 and on the HD version of channel 12 712 (on comcast in the bay area) however, it looked like both versions were coming over the new ATSC setup.

Why would it do that and how do I make it stop? Also noticed that the Simpsons episodes had no episode description Just Homer raises a family or some generic and rather inaccurate representation of what the series is about and I don't believe that's the way it used to be.

Is one of the channels getting its EPG from the digital stream? If so, that info won't match the info from Zap2it, so it isn't possible to see the airings as the same.

If all the data is coming from Zap2it, but one has a Show ID prefix of SH instead of EP in its detailed info, then see these two FAQs: FAQ 1 and FAQ 2.

How would I tell if one channel is getting it's EPG from the digital stream?

They both look the same just one is recording from the non-hi-def channel and one is the hi-def channel?? And again both seems to have a real episode ID not a show ID?

So far it's only the simpsons that is doing this.

Any other possibilities?

What is the Show ID for both recordings on the Recording Detail screen?

I don't know if I'll have an exact answer, though... above, you mentioned generic data for the show, but if it now gives details, the EPG data for that show could have been updated & they didn't look the same to SageTV earlier.

If you have a Simpsons Favorite limited to a single channel, maybe there is another Fav for the other channel or maybe IR picked up the other show.

There are probably some other possibilities.
