input dialog uses play and stop???

I have mapped play/pause to the space bar and stop the 's' key.

The problem is that all the input dialog boxes in Sage use stop as the back key and play as the forward key. Is there any way to change this behaviour?

4 years of using BTV with its default pause key being the space bar and its stop key being the 's' key are going to be extremely hard to unlearn. It was the first thing I did to make the Sage UI somewhat sane to me.

Now that I have moved on to programming in all my favourites, it is driving me up the wall. Is there anyway that I can change this behaviour in these dialogs?

I believe that you will find that you can no longer enter a space or an S in any text entry dialog now. You should use some non-text keystrokes for any commands -- perhaps try adding Ctrl to those keystrokes.

I also mapped play/pause to the space bar because I was used to that in another program. I found that I could still enter a space into a SageTV text entry dialog by holding down shift when I hit the space bar. There's also an entry method where you can use arrow keys to move around on a grid of letters and type in favorites that way. Finally, I seem to recall entering text using the number keys on my MCE remote. Sorry I can't give more details, but I always get the urge to answer questions when I'm away from my SageTV computer.
