Client lockup only when server is running service

Not sure why I never used service mode before, but I figured it was time and I enabled it. Everything's going smoothly (even my Mac firewire encoder and MCE blaster), but my client completely locks up (have to use power button) occasionally and only when first playing a recording (not every time).

Does anyone have any idea what could be different about service mode vs. full mode on the SERVER that could be causing the client to lock up? I'm running service mode as a user with administrative rights and there are no other issues.

Thanks in advance.

Does that users also have a password? It is required to run as a service for the user to have a password.

Yes, that user has a password and the service is configured correctly for that.

So this didn't happen when you ran SageTV in the GUI mode? (Not service)
