Clapperboard Genre Icons for SageMC

Thanks again for the great icons. It is fun to see customization really taking off in Sage!!

Request:
Children -- Meedio's Peek-a-boo icons hide a cool image of a child with 3d glasses on watching a show. I could email this icon if you like.
Christmas (or Holidays) -- A simple wreath around the clapboard.

I was going to play with making these myself, but my version of PS doesn't work with the template. Thanks.

I've got big issue dwnloading the icons. All I get is "403 forbidden, Forbidden

You don't have permission to access /~cgreenle/SageTV/Genre_Folders_v1.1.zip on this server.

Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request."

Can anybody help me? Maybe someone can email the icons to me?

I think they're freakin awesome

The server that I host my files on crashed this week. I've temporarily moved the file to a Google Site (never used it, hope it works).

Had to register just to say what an awesome set of genre icons you have created here cgreenle !

Im not a SageTV user , but a Vista Media Centre user running a custom plugin called Mediabrowser that allows for genre images to be used.

Ive used them in my setup ( and customised a couple to suit...thanks for the PSD !! ) and there is a thread running on the avforums HERE where you can see how awesome they look !

Im getting a few people asking where I got them from , and ive pointed them to your post on here....I hope that is ok. If not please let me know and Ill remove it.

THere are a couple of crime ones in the RAR i uploaded....see if they fit what you are looking for

I was going to do a Children/kids one but couldnt decide on what pictures to use.......depends on the age of the kids really. My 9 year old would be horrified at a pooh bear or a piglet, and yet a younger child wouldnt understand Hannah Montana for example........difficult one.

I started looking last night for a Biography graphic. I was thinking a stack of books maybe. Does anyone have any ideas for these requests?

Looking for graphics and suitable fonts can be time consuming.

For Biography a stack of books may be fine. Maybe a couple of paper pages written by only a pen or a feather... don't know. Maybe a picture of someone would do as well.

Hi cgreenle,

great artwork. I've a question regarding the use of the icons in another project. I'm author of appletrailerfs, a filesystem that makes the apple movie trailers available for another media center: the Western Digital TV HD.

It's also possible to browse the trailers by genre and I'd like to use your icons for this in the GUI. I'd be redistributing the files with the binary and source releases so that everyone who downloads appletrailerfs has them available.

Questions:
- Is this OK by you?
- If yes, to where should I put the link regarding for more information. This forum thread or some other page?

Some genres are missing, any icons I create I'd post here as well in case someone else needs them.

Thanks, that sounds great!!! I know several folks have asked for other genres but between my new job (20+ hours just driving to work in a week) and trying to finish my home theater project, I just don't have any free time.

I just found this thread this look really nice. I have some that I use in my wall v3. I will post a screencap in a bit. If people like these more than I can make these the default if that is okay with you.

ps I didn't make mine a nice forum member over from TGB let me use his from media center.
