MAC 6.40 Placeshifter won't unlock files after watching

Already submitted as a bug....

Got a problem with Mac placeshifter (latest version) 6.40.

After I’ve played any portion of a recording, it keeps the file locked and will not unlock it.

If I try to delete on Sage, it will delete it from the GUI, but it really doesn’t delete the file. If you wait long enough, the GUI will find the file again and it will show up. This happens on the Mac Placeshifter but you still can’t delete on a Windows Client or the HD100. The latter two do NOT actually cause the locking problem, it seems only the mac placeshifter.

If you try to delete from the OS, you get an error that the file is in use.

I have tested this three times, but don’t want to test any more as I now have three files that I can’t delete.

Can you check Activity Monitor to see if there are mplayer processes still running? If there are, try killing them (assuming no video is playing at the moment) and see if the problem goes away.

heh. i just came on the forum to see if there was anyone talking about mplayer processes left running. i currently have 13. all from 6.4.0b2 I guess.
