MVP with SAGETV 6

I currently use the MVP with the Hauppauge software and it works fine. i also have Sage 5.1 and have upgraded to SageTV6. In looking at the FAQ's here and on the forum, i can't quite find how to:
1.I can see the SAGETV6 gui and interface on my computer (WIN XP) and it works fine on the computer. My MVP is networked to the computer and connected to my tv. Also works fine, but with the Old MVP gui and interface.
How do I dump the Hauppauge interface and replace with SAGETV6 that I see on my computer? If I uninstall the MVP software and reboot will the MVP media extender then automatically find the SAGETV6?

that's the first thing to do: uninstall the hauppauge software.

Run sage, power up the MVP and see what you get.

It's been a long time since I used the Hauppauge software, but I think there was a service manager for it. If you stop that service, then yes, Sage should find your MVP (it's a little quirky, but it ususally works).

If I'm wrong about the service manager, then you may have to uninstall the Hauppauge software, and Sage should find it as above.

You should uninstall the Hauppauge MVP software or at least make sure it isn't running when trying to have the MVP connect to SageTV.
