What can be set for "added default settings for new favorites"

Maybe someone could explain what "default settings for new favorites" can be saved? I'm not sure if I'm expecting too much, don't know what I'm doing, or if I have a problem.

I would like all new Favorites to:
Auto comskip
Auto compress
Wait until comskip completes
Autocompress with a certain profile.

When I setup a Favorite under the Favorite Manager to do the above and then click on "Set Default" and then click on "Save". It does what it is suppose to for the shows that gets recorded under that Favorite. However if I create a new Favorite I have to go in and setup all of the above again. I keep thinking once I "Set Defaults" that all new Favorites should be set the same and I shouldn't have to go in and set the setting for the above functions.

Can anyone help?
