Latest Mac BETA - won't record unless Sage is open

For some reason, on the latest BETA (or even the previous one), Sage won't record if only the server is started. I must open the client app in order for recording to start. I'm using Hugo Lyppens firewire recording app, if that makes any difference.

Did you rerun the service configuration tool after running the installer? You must do this every time you reinstall SageTV for the service to run properly.

This was originally posted in the Mac forum and was moved. THere is no service configuration tool on the Mac - just a preferences pane to indicate whether the service has been started or not.

System Preferences » SageTV » Startup » Automatically

As I recall, you are given the option during the initial installation to run the service on startup or you can set it later in the System Preferences. From SageTV preferences, select the Startup tab and then use the pulldown to select "Automatically."

If you're having trouble you might want to try re-running the Configuration Wizard from within SageTV or do a fresh install.

Thanks. Already tried both of those things. I'm guessing no one else is having this issue, so I'm going to try a fresh install.
