setup wizard in 2.0

When I run the setup wizard to select how to tune channels I select "use external cable or Satellite receiver to tune channels" since I'm using Directv. Then after I select that option it asks me what channel to use and I input 3 and hit enter and nothing happens. I can't get out of that to go to the next part of the wizard.

???

I've tried the right arrow, the left arrow, enter, esc... everything... nothing will stay.

Don't know what to tell you... you're feeding the PC with an RF signal on channel 3 from your DirecTV receiver? Why wouldn't you use S-video?

Well, I only have one SVHS out from my DirecTV receiver. That is going directly to my 60" Mitsu. Then I have a cable output out of the Directv receiver that is going to my PVR 250 card.

Regardless, I still have to have Sage control the channels on my dtv receiver.

I have the same problem but haven't had a chance to update the bug report. I ended up getting around it by comparing the property file in ver. 1.4 with 2.0 and making the changes directly to the 2.0 properties file.

I was going to say that the setup wizard works ok if you are setting up svideo, but since you have reasons not to use it then that would be of little value

jbrychka,

Which properties in 1.4 did you copy to 2.0 in order to get DirecTV to play on Channel 3?

Thanks,
Auggie

I am having the same issue Auggie. I uninstalled .11 which was working just causing random freezes so decided to start over. Well I went through the setup and couldn't get it to continue. I hope jbrychka responds with what he changed soon.

That seems to work jbrychka. Thanks for taking the time to help.

For those having a similar problem.... on my system with a WinTV-250 and DirecTV on chn 3 these are my numbers.

mmc/encoders/1642691032/1/3/atsc_tuning=false
mmc/encoders/1642691032/1/3/available_channels=
mmc/encoders/1642691032/1/3/brightness=136
mmc/encoders/1642691032/1/3/cable_based_rf=true
mmc/encoders/1642691032/1/3/contrast=128
mmc/encoders/1642691032/1/3/device_name=
mmc/encoders/1642691032/1/3/hue=129
mmc/encoders/1642691032/1/3/last_channel=73
mmc/encoders/1642691032/1/3/provider_id=630931
mmc/encoders/1642691032/1/3/saturation=130
mmc/encoders/1642691032/1/3/sharpness=170
mmc/encoders/1642691032/1/3/video_crossbar_index=3
mmc/encoders/1642691032/1/3/video_crossbar_type=1

and this line
mmc/encoders/1642691032/last_cross_index=3

I don't get the controls to overlay the video when I click on the picture though. I thought that was supposed to work in my PVR-250 but not the 350?

Thanks,
Auggie

i have a problem after setting a single rf channle for the nput source and a external tuner.
it wont let me choose which channles i want to display.

it says use select to toggle and left arrow to return but it wont do anythng else.

i only found this after upgrading from 1.4 to v2 .12 beta so i didnt have to change the channle settings until i wanted to add a new channle i missed.

now it wont let me.
