SageTV Recordings Are Suddenly Renamed

This past weekend, I went to the Recordings menu on my extender, and I noticed something strange - a few recordings had their name changed, seemingly out of the blue. The show is called "Word World" (a PBS cartoon that my son enjoys), and I have 19 episodes recorded. On Saturday, all 19 were grouped under the title "Word World". On Sunday, I had 15 under "Word World", and 4 under "WordWorld". On Monday, another episode migrated to "WordWorld", so now I have 14 under "Word World".

These were existing recordings, marked as manual recordings (so they wouldn't get deleted), that had been there for about 3 months. This isn't a huge deal, as the recordings are still on disk, and they play correctly, but I wonder how they could have their titles changed? Has anyone else seen this behavior?

Normally I use the Malore recording menu, but I also tried changing to the default recording menu, and I see the same listing there as well.

The EPG dta must have updated the info the airing at that time. I've had that happen when some kid's show was supposed to record, but then I find some Senate committee hearing listed later on instead.

And, yes, I believe the name of that series changed, so if you have a Favorite for it, you should create a new one for the new name of the show.

Ok, it must have renamed the episodes from this season then.

Thanks for the tip on updating the favorite, I was wondering why there weren't any new ones recorded lately.

I just experienced that the movie Hidalgo, that I recorded several months ago (March 25th), suddenly has changed name to The Terminator. The original show info has been updated with show info from Terminator that was on the day before. Why does that happen now???

Was Hidalgo always listed as a recording, or had it been lost & was listed as an import until now?

If it was never an import, I would mention it to SageTV to see what they say about it. It sounds like the AiringI ID on the filename got reused somehow & ended up matching the value of an existing recording.

Edit: Nevermind. I see from another post that you are using an XMLTV plugin.
