No HD Sound in Latest Firmware

I just updated to the 5-23 firmware for the HD extender and...well...should I have sound for HDTV? This applies to both pre-recorded (both recently and from months ago) and live TV. Is there a way to go back to the 5-19 firmware because I really like to watch TV with sound? I'm using multiple types of HD OTA tuners (A180, HDHomeRun, and an Hauppauge). Sound worked in the previous build. I have the extender configured to use SPDIF for sound out and HDMI for video. Oh, and analog works and sounds fine.

Thanks,
Ben

I just installed the 0523 beta firmware and now I have no SPDIF audio. Power cycled the HD100 and still no audio. The update also did not fix the micro stutter problem. How to I revert back to production release firmware?

I just updated to the latest firmware to see if they fixed the micro stutter problem. Now I don't have any audio and the micro stutter problem is still there. As with you, SPDIF audio and HDMI video. I want to revert back to the previous version too.

Just go back to the normal firmware update screen, and don't enter in the beta code.

I only lost audio on my HD recordings. SD Recordings are just fine. Weird.

It also looked like the combo of server and firmware pretty much fixed my stuttering problem on R5000 HD recordings of local stations from Dish Network, as well as the audio drop while skipping. Too bad I couldn't stay...

Cheers,
Slipshod

Also testing out 0523. No sound on my HD Extender on HD channels, when tested now the sound was indicated as AC3 5.1. And I output sound through optical. My receiver do not have any indication of data received.

On the pixelation issue I've been having since day 1 on my 1080 HD channels. It's actually a little improved. I'm really sure about this. I don't get the 'pixelation' anymore in the stutters. But it still stutters, although with a 'clean' image. So one step closer.

I will echo the above problems. No sound on HD recordings after upgrading.

If somebody could let us know how to get back to 0519, that would be great before my wife wants to watch something.

Angry Slide Show and Full Screen Photo Display not working

On output to both SD and HD televisions, slideshow and fullscreen picture display is messed up.

I am also having the issue with HD sound.

I have my primary sound through my TV, via HDMI, but us the analog to have sound go into my backyard. Right now if the anlog ports have anything plugged into the when the HD1000 starts, regardless of settings only the analog ports get output. No sounds is played through the HDMI. I have to power off, unplug the analog cables, switch the audio configuration from HDMI to analog, then back to HDMI to get the sound to play out the HDMI. I can then plug in the analog ports. All then works. But as soon as I put the system in standby or turn if off, no sound through HDMI.

Count me in as a "me too"? It appears to be all my HD audio.

If you do another firmware update, it should go back to v20080519.

The audio issues will be looked into more.

Same result here. On my recordings, which previously played fine, I get video but no audio with this latest beta. My connection is HDMI and has always been configured set for SPDIF audio, even though there's just an HDMI connection with no optical audio cable. So, just for the heck of it, I went into setup and tried to change audio to HDMI. Now I have a bigger problem in that I'm unable to acquire an IP address through DHCP after multiple attempts. I'll just let it rest and go back to it later on.

Ugh.
