Video Preview Thumbnails?

Is there anyway to turn this off and have it read a jpg or something in the dir? I'd generally like to put a jpg of the movie poster in it.

I think that would be much sweeter to flip through then the video preview thumbnail.

OH, name it "folder.jpg" exactly?

I didn't know that. I scrolled through many pages and didn't see anything on it.

I was naming it the movie name.jpg. I'll do this now.

Yep, works like a champ. Thanks for the quick response.

You can use the name of the imported video too, which works better if there are multiple videos in the folder -- see p. 95 of the v6.3-B PDF manual.

I see, thanks for the page number in the pdf.

It's looking sharp now .

Is there a way to refresh this after I put the jpg in the dir without shutting the whole thing down and restarting it?

Thanks for the info!
I'm glad you guys are patient with a newbie. Although I'm an advanced IT Manager by profession, I'm new to Sage. It's nice to have quick answers to simple questions without sarcastic "use the search" answers and stuff like that the most forums have.

The HD Extender is awesome I must say and I'm glad to now have it and be a member of this forum! I'm sooo fighting the temptation to buy another before stock runs out for my bedroom hdtv .

Slow Thumbnails

I am currently running Save version 6.4.7 but my issue has been here for a few versions back. When I go to Video's the thumbnails are pretty slow to show. This happens even if i am using the player local to the Sage server itself. Is this just something I have to live with or are there some tricks to cache them or something of that nature?

Thank you.
