Hauppauge MVP image turns green!

Hi,

I purchased a plasma tv last week and yesterday I connected my Media MVP to the scart input on the back of the TV (Panasonic 42PH85Z).
Normally the screen is blue, but now there is a very distinct Green color. Everything I try is green.

Is any1 familiar with this? Before this it was doing just fine on my older crt TV.

Thanks,
Henk

Not being from Europe, I'm taking a shot in the dark, but does the SCART input on the plasma have a setting for the type of signal on the input?

I can't find your TV model on Google.

I have had some projectors with VGA connectors that can carry different signals. The VGA connector could accept either RGB or Y/YB/YR signals. When the VGA input was set to the wrong type of signal, the pix was a washed out pink.

Have you checked for any bent pins? Red is carried on pins 15 and 13 (which are pins 4 and 5 along the 11 pin row). Maybe one of the wires "snapped" inside so if you have another cable? Otherwise follow Menehune's advice and see if there is something that needs to be changed.

I had the same problem with my Panasonic Plasma, If I recall I snipped the wire connected to pin 16 on the scart plug.

Try searching for "sync on green" on the hauppauge sites for more information.
