HD PVR, channel changing, delaying encoding/playback

Does anyone know what the videoframe setting is for delaying the encoding/playback process after a channel change?

I'm using the blaster and there is a delay in changing channel so when it records, there is a bit of the old channel, pause, then new channel. This sometimes introduces a glitch into the transport stream during that pause.

Yeah, this is kind of annoying for me as well. It can take about 7-10 seconds to fully get where it needs to be. I go to change the channel, it changes, then it sends the IR signal through the USBUIRT, I can see the numbers showing up, then the channel actually changes.

All in all, it's not that big a deal, if I was missing the beginning of shows, I might just add a 1 minute pad at the beginning by default. I'm also using a Tivo-DVR from Comcast, as I got it in a great deal for a year, and they told me I can't switch it to a regular box, or I lose the savings.
