SageTV not passing DD/DTS over S/PDIF

I get audio, but my receiver is not sensing that it is receiving a DD or DTS signal, as the light on it is not lighting up.

I should say right off the bat, the media in question is 720p/1080p x264 MKV's. They all play beautifully with MPC using FFDShow, AC3Filter and Haali's Media Splitter. The Video portion works fine in SageTV, im just working on the audio.

Under the Audio Renderer setting on SageTV I have 5 options:
Default
Realtek Digital Output
Default DirectSound Device
Default WaveOut Device
DirectSound: Realtek Digital Output

I have tried all five, and with all 5, i get audio, but it is not passing through the DD and/or DTS signal to my receiver, any ideas?

The problem is most likely with the audio codec. Which one are you using in Sage? That codec may need to be set up to pass DD/DTS through the SPDIF. I know AC3Filter has some pretty comprehensive settings for this.

After that I would think the Digital Output would be the option you want. Not sure if the directsound one is better than the regular option though.

Im pretty sure AC3Filter is set up correctly, as it is setup and working when i play the files back with Media Player Classic.

Speaking of AC3Filter, the only option I see to set SageTV to use AC3Filter, is under MPEG2 where AC3Filter is listed, does SageTV just automatically use AC3Filter for MPEG4?
