HD-PVR Resolution Concerns, Thoughts?

So...I'm seeing that the resolution SageTV recognizes in my HD-PVR recordings is somewhat sporadic from HD channels.

For example...

The NASA Missions, Discovery
Two of the episodes show up as 1080i in SageTV
One of hte episodes shows up as 480i in SageTV
...same program, same channel - ?

Dirty Jobs, Discovery
Some records are 1080i, and I've seen some as 480i.
...again, same program and channel.

American Choppers, HD Theater
Sometimes 1080i, sometimes 480i

Deadliest Catch, Discovery
Sometimes 1080i, sometimes 480i

Just Shoot Me, TBSHD, 1080i

American Gladiators, Local HD Channel, 480i

Every one of the channels, when navigated to, shows 1080i on my cable box display.

Every file, regardless of SageTV's said resolution, has the same file size (approx 5.5GB per hour).

Any ideas what's going on here?

Sage probably grabbed the info from a commercial that was 480i and recorded that in the database as the resolution of the entire show.
