Can I reinstall 1.4.10 and keep 2.0.11 working?

The topic says it all pretty much. I have my old 1.4.10 wiz.bin, wiz.bak and sage.properties files. Can I revert to 1.4 but keep 2.0 installed?

I'm having trouble with audio on my second tuner in 2.0, and I want to reinstall 1.4 to see if it shows the same problem. Hopefully I can do this. Sage 2 is unusable with this problem.

The problem I'm having has been bug reported and is outlined here; http://forums.freytechnologies.com/f...ner+sage+audio

I tried it, but I'm getting 'BAD AIRING" on all the info in the guide, and neither tuner displays anything.

Well, I got 1.4.10 to work, but I couldn't get my favorites and stuff restored. *sigh* Everything appears to work fine in 1.4, so it looks like I may be back to using it (and restoring all my favorites manually) until this bug gets fixed, I'll report it again I suppose.

I'm wondering if there was something corrupt in your wiz.bin that may have caused your issue. It sounds like you couldn't get it back into your 1.4.10 install. I've had no issues going either way and loading the backups back in. I wonder if you took 2.0.11 now and did a clean install that possibly your audio issues would go away. Just a thought.

Do you have a backup of your wiz.bin from 1.4.10. If so just restore that. Everything should be back to normal.

Beelzebub -
I have a backup wiz.bin, but when I copy it into the directory, I get the 'invalid airing' and the tuners do not appear.

After having success with 1.4, I tried 2.0 again (without reinstalling or changing anything) and it appears to be working. However, it's worked for a couple hours at a time in the past, I'll need to check it when I get home from work to be sure it's fixed. If it is, I'm even more perplexed since sage 2.0.11 hasn't had it's configuration changed in any way.

At any rate, I'll report back when I can say one way or the other whether 2.0 is fixed.

As luck would have it, 2.0 is showing the same problem now. I'm going back to 1.4 for a while.

I might just be lucky, but before I moved to 2.0, I did cut-n-paste copies of the SageTV and Common directories (resulting in "Copy of..." folders).

After I installed and had trouble with 2.0, I just renamed the 2.0 folders and put the originals back in place. Running the 1.4 EXE from the renamed-and-renamed-back SageTV dir works just fine now.
