The up and down arrows both launch the miniguide.

I think this is the miniguide I currently use (I think I grabbed an earlier beta of it). One suggestion I have is that it would be nice when the miniguide was up, if the info button showed the show description for the show currently displayed on the miniguide.

Just a thought,

Mitch

I really like the look of the mini-guide...it seems transparent to some degree.

Does anyone know if there are some settings (or tools) that make the "title" and "playback" graphics look nice like this?

I am referring to when hitting the INFO button on the Sage Remote (HD100). They are a shade of blue and kind of chunky looking.

Those are the OSD for SageMC itself rather than miniguide. I'd like to see them matching too, but there's no easy way of changing them at the moment AFAIK

I'm trying to install this for the first time (I've never used an alternate miniguide before) and it's not happening for some reason. I just installed the long-awaited update to MC, so I don't know if that perhaps broke something or changed something?

Basically, I imported the STVi, then went to the settings menu, but the "miniguide style" option only toggles between "Default" and "old style". It doesn't give me an External STVi option. The "OSD Style" item directly above it does have "External STVi" as an option, but I tried that one, and it doesn't seem to make a difference.

Any suggestions?

You will probably have to wait for an update. I'm pretty sure some of the changes in the last update of SageMC broke the miniguide plugins.

Aloha,
Mike

New version of the SMG is posted now. Download is available here.

This will only work on the latest version of SageMG (6.3.8) - the old version is available at the old download location also.

Thanks Bialio,

Just curious, is there an option to use the original vertical AMG? I like being able to see how many channels up or down to press to get to the station that I wanted. Also, I liked the colorful channels of the former version as well.

If not, I'll give this a whirl and see if the styling suits us. One thing is nicer, you get the full title displayed.

What you would be wanting is the AMG - located here.

SMG pulls up

I imported the SMG, however it seems when i channel up and down it is skipping 10 channels rather than 1. If I import the AMG the channels increase and decrease fine. It seems it only happens when I have SMG running by itself. Am I crazy?

I think when that happens it's usually a matter of how you have your remote keys mapped. It skips by 10 when you do channel up in the mini guide - so somehow you might be sending in a channel up signal.

Do make sure that you don't have both the SMG and AMG imported at the same time - that probably won't work.

I have tried changing my up mapping to every channel up option there is, still no luck, if i hit the up arrow on the keyboard it jumps 10 as well. If I use the default STV it channels up by 1. I may just remove sagetv and start over and stick with the AMG which was pretty nice anyway.
