Its getting quit here. Is it correct to assume the crash problem is solved?

Looking good on my end. Unfortunately, I'm using Firewire extraction more often than my HD PVR for HD cable shows. I have audio sync issues when recording from FIOS even over analog audio.

Could you upload a small recording that is crashing build 0.80.20 to my ftp server?
I tested all recordings ever uploaded to me and all are processed without a crash.

I am still testing a 1.8 gig file now... it just quits after about 2 minutes and only generates a blank .txt file and a .log file.

the log file is attached. I will need to make a quick 3 minute recording and see if that crashes.
Attached Files
File Type: txt log.txt (5.3 KB, 156 views)

What is the best way to upload teh file to you? I have a 4 minute file that is about 225MB that does the same thing as the larger file.

All TS files prior to version 20 were crashing. Now, all TS files are being process just fine with version 20. For me, all problems solved.

Thanks Erik. Got any ideas on what to check? I moved it to my Gaming VISTA PC and run it there and got the same results. Stops working and no edl file. Are my settings bad perhaps? did you get an edl file?

Any advice you might have would be great.

I went back and downloaded each version from the last donators 010 to the current 020 and found that my .ts files fail on every one from 11 through 20, but can still be scanned successfully using 010. Any idea why that would be?

Was there any major change between 010 and 011 that migth be affecting me?

Perhaps I don't have the right updates to my environemnt? I am running Dot.net 3.5, and Java 6 update 11.

Any thoughts? Anyone? 010 works well... I just want the latest and greatest! and speediest!

Could you make sure to uninstall VC redist 2008?
And if needed install the VC redist 2005 as indicated in the readme file
COuld you double check you did copy the dll file from the distribution zip file together with comskip.exe to the same folder?

This is strange

[ 100] Added PMT[1001] pid = 1100 type = 129
0:Auto selected video pid = 1011

Audio error
AC3 sound at 48 khz
Audio PTS jumped 13 frames at frame 66, repairing timeline
Audio PTS jumped 1 frames at frame 84, repairing timeline
Video PID not found, available video PID's 1011,

Parsed 0 video frames and 44902 audio frames of 25.00 fps

Maximum Volume found is 1868
Seems like Comskip can not decode the video as it does select the video PID with type 129 (h.264) but not one single video frame gets decoded.
Are you sure you are testing with the donator version???????

Exactly. I get this behavior for each and every version except 010.

I tested with the 800_010 donator version and it works. The version 011 through 020 are on the website without logging in to get a donator version. Perhaps that is my problem... do I still need to get the donator version? I guess I figured that since they are on the download page now, there was no longer a difference between donator and non-donator? If that is the issue I will be the first to point out that I am an idiot...

You need to log in to get the latest versions that work with h.264.

I'd like to add that version 20 works for a recording that I had that previously failed. So, way to go!

Thanks!

I see you use CCextractor, did you aver have the opportunity to text the extraction feature of Comskip?
It does NOT work on h.264
