possible convert looking for guidance
Hi,
I'm currently running MCE 2005 on new hardware which includes a Gigabyte GA_EP35-DS3R motherboard and an Asus HD4850 video card. MCE constantly reports video driver errors and I lose sound control when coming out of stand by. I'm not sure if this is a software issue with the video card, the video card's "smart doctor" software or Gigabyte's "Dynamic Energy Saving" software. Is anyone running SageTV on either of these, using their accompanying software, with success? Maybe a dumb question but does the motherboard need to support wake on usb for SageTV to come out of stand by using the remote? I'm also kind of concerned with the complexity of SageTV for when my wife wants to use its basic functions. BTW my oldest system component is my tuner card - a WinTV-PVR-500 Thanks |
