Placeshifter loses settings from time to time

Why is that?
Have anybody else seen this?

Where are the settings for the PlaceShifter stored? Can I back them up?

Placeshifter settings are stored in two locations. One is on the machine you're running and the second is on the server in the clients directory. Can you be more specific about what settings are being lost?

I have to add the server to the PlaceShifter Server Manager, and run the Setup Wizard again once connected. Like PlaceShifter was a completely fresh installation...

Interesting, that would make it both files.

Assuming you're running Windows:

1) Server settings are stored on the PC you're running PS from. The directory is located in: C:\Documents and Settings\%USERNAME%\.sagetv

2) Client settings are stored on the server in:
C:\Program Files\SageTV\SageTV\clients\macaddressofplaceshiftingcomputer.properties

And I'm guessing that progress pr. TV show is stored on the server?

Anything I could have done that would initiate "a remove of settings" on both client and server?

Using different user accounts on the PC would lose the server config settings. You would have to delete the client's file to lose the PS settings on the server though. (Or it becomes corrupt which may indicate a pending drive failure)

I'm only using one account on my computers... This looks like a bug to me.
