Watch live TV with SageTV and HD PVR?

I currently have SageTV and a Hauppauge PVR1800 in my office PC. I often watch live TV on my PC monitor in HD. I can watch OTA channels in HD, but I currently watch DirecTV also (in SD) using the Directv receiver's S-video into the 1800. I'm thinking seriously about getting the HD-PVR for use with the Directv just so I can watch the DirecTV content in HD. I know the HD PVR feeds the video/audio to the PC via USB, so I just want to make sure that I can utilize SageTV with the HD-PVR to watch live TV on the PC. Of course, eventually, I'd like to record HD, but there seems to be a lack of H.264 editors available. I'd love to be able to edit with VideoRedo, which I've been using on mpg files for several years, but that appears to not be on the near horizon.

But, again, my main concern is live TV on the HD PVR with SageTV. Comments and answers appreciated.

It works just like S-Video with your 1800, although requires probably 10 times the horesepower.

And you may get a delay of a second or two vs. live which is only really noticable when you are changing channels on your source.
