Unable to set up XMLTV import
I am just rebuilding my development box and, in setting up the video sources and after entering the zip code of 00000, I am getting the error message "error connecting to SageTV Server......" instead of the list of XML lineups thich I have available. I have no software firewall on the test box, only an internet router stopping inbound calls.
Suffice it to say, my internet connection is fine. Does Sage try to contact a remote server somewhere to get a list of lineups against a given zip code even when the user has indicated that they are using locally available XML files. If that is the case, has that remote server gone down? If none of the above, does anyone have any idea why the process might be erroring out? Cheers John |

Did you reinstall Stephane's importer too ? (Assuming you're using that for your XMLTV source)

Yes, the importer is up and running and producing all the files in the right places. I have also modified the sage properties files with the appropriate .....import_plugin=xmltv..... statement.

Sounds strange. The only time I've seen Sage do a zip code lookup is when I failed to install the importer properly (With the earlier version, you had to manually stop the service)
If I were you, I'd post on the main import thread - Stephane's bound to help !

Are you running Windows Vista? Do you have a log file in the GuideData sub folder of the Config & Log folder (you can open this folder from the "Updage Guide Data" menu)? Regards, Stéphane. |

My installation of the importer dates from a previously installed version of Sage. I deleted all evidence of Sage to do a fresh install. Does the importer require also to be removed and reloaded in order for Sage to recognize it correctly?
