Angry Need Help! Dual Hauppauge tuners

Running Windows Vista SP1. Two tuners:
1. Hauppauge HVR-1950 - for analog cable
2. Hauppauge HVR-950 - for ATSC

My current setup: Latest drivers for the HVR 1950 (may 2008 date) and Sept 2008 relase drivers for HVR-950.
Problem: I can get my HVR 1950 to work fine. Analog, even QAM works. (only one input on device so I can have either analog or QAM but not both on the same device - this is by design, not a bug). My HVR 950, 'pretends' to scan for ATSC channels (even finds 9 of the here in Austin - 78731 zip) . Once scan is done, I am unable to tune into any of the ATSC channels.

When I attempt to tune the 'found' ATSC channels on the HVR 950, I get a constant "no signal" box, but when I flip channels to the analog HVR 1950, I have no issues. I have tried changing everything I can think of, any ideas??

Should both tuners work together without issues, or will using tuners from same manuf going to cause problems??

not familiar with those specific Hauppauge tuners, but usually Hauppauge has had some of the best tuner drivers in regard to multiple tuner support.

Try removing the 1950 and setting up just the 950 and see if you can get it to work. Then, add in the 1950 and try again.

I tried that one already...

That was my first thought also. But that did not help unfortunately, still have the same error. It's odd because I have VMC disabled because if I installed both tuners and had VMC and SageTV running, I would get the 'ehrecvr.exe' error message.

Just a thought, have you tried using the Hauppauge provided software to see if that can tune the card ok?
That should at least confirm if the driver/card are functioning ok

Using the Hauppauge software it works fine

If I use the hauppauge software it works fine. It still doesn't work in SageTV. I have tried using just the one tuner (HVR 950), and re-scanning for all digital signals (it finds all the digital OTA here in Austin), but after scanning is done, I am unable to view any of them because I keep getting the 'no signal' box.

I'm almost to the point of completely removing SageTV and re-installing it. Any ideas?

So once you have scanned and configured the channel list, are you able to go to Source Setup and select the tuner and then subsequent Channel Setup menu and preview any of the channels in the list?
What is the signal strength bar showing for any of the selected channels?
Also are you able to preview the selected channel broadcast in the top right corner?

Regards
Mike

In short, no. When I setup source it does find signals. However when I attempt to preview any of the channels I get a steady 'no signal'. As I stated working with WinTV software the scan and channels work just fine. It's almost as if SageTV is 'blocking?' the signal/decoder??

Where did you find the Sept drivers for the 950? All I can find are from Dec of last year. Even the beta drivers are from 2007.

I used the latest 4.6a drivers

If you look for HVR 950 support there is a 4.6a drivers that is pretty recent. When I installed that and looked at properties for the 950 in Device mangler, it stated the date of driver as Sept. 08...
