Hauppauge 1600 svideo Aspect Ration
I've got a problem with my DTV recordings coming over a Hauppauge 1600 via svideo. It records fine as it always has but I now seem to be having trouble with the apsect ratio's. In the past I've always been able to have some custom settings for taking channels like the HD version of SciFi and stretching the letterbox out to fill my 16x9 screen. Now, no matter which mode I select for aspect ratio, the settings don't do anything I'd expect.
For instance, I take a normal letterbox show from Sci Fi HD and in fill mode, I stretch the verticle to 130%. The result is the video actually shrinks a bit on the screen. I figured I didnt' stretch it enough and set the verticle to 150% and it got even smaller on the screen. Bottom line is I'm completely stumped. Any ideas? Mike |

Nevermind, it was a stupid user trick. On installing my HD PVR, I had to reset the video mode to overlay and also set the nvidia purvideo decoder to prefer overlay. Apparently on doing that, it reset the display format to that of the original source video. Resetting it to raw solved the problem.
