Video display in background instead of corner window

I just updated my SageTV and SageMC and I can not for the life of me get SageMC to show the video in the background instead of the small corner window.

It works fine in the default STV, but whenever I am in the SageMC STV it only shows in the corner box. Am I missing a setting? Whats going on here?

I don't think SageMC was designed to use the video background. That may have been removed. You should be able to get to that option in Detailed Settings.

I have looked for a setting, and not found one. Can you be more specific if you think such a setting exists? I know I have had background video working before on other machines/extenders. In fact it still works fine on my server where I did not delete the properties file. It is some setting somewhere and I can not find it. SageMC does not appear to be honoring the SageTV video settings when I select: "If Active", and "Display as Background" for displaying videos.

The default STV has this setting on almost any screen. By pressing Option on your remote or Alt-O you can set the video for the menus or for the background or never or when active. I think it is also found in Detailed Settings-Customize. Like I said it may have been removed from SageMC because it didn't work well with how the screens were designed.

Can anyone confirm if that feature has been removed? It has been working fine on some of my machines, just not on the newly configured one....

Not the cleanest, but one work around would be to resize the preview window to be nearly full size...

My Menu-Settings-Detailed Setup-Multimedia-Video Menu Options and then choose Always and Background. Unfortunately when you go back to SageMC it plays in the preview window. Confirmed that doesn't work in SageM 6.3.8 but does work in the default STV.

I attached a picture showing the latest version with the video on the background.... There is just no setting to change it. I can confirm the above sequence of actions will not give the following... this is coming from settings on an older version.
