Offline DVD help please...

Greetings all. Just hopped back onto the Sage bandwagon after being absent since version 4. Had a perfectly configured v4 SageMC setup but then added an hdhomerun and had to upgrade to SageTV v6 and a new PC. I started from scratch rather than trying an upgrade installation.

I'm running SageTV v6.4.8.184 and SageMC 6.3.8. Everything is working as expected except my offline DVD's.

I have a <title>.jpg and <title>.mpg file for each offline DVD. Those files are located in a folder that is listed under the offline DVD setting in the SageMC configuration.

The movie names and cover art show up correctly in My Videos and IMDB information can be imported and saved without trouble. The problem is that there is no indication that the video is offline, and if I select the video and then press play Sage tries to play the movie and gives an error message rather than saying the movie is offline.

I'm sure it's probably something simple but I am stumped. Any help would be much appreciated.

So no one knows?

In SageTV version 4 (with SageMC 5.10) if I clicked "play" for an offline DVD I would get a popup that said to insert the DVD to play.

Now all I get is a Sage playback error. Not the best situation for WAF...

Sorry Jeff, wish I could help but I've got all my movies on an unRaid server that I use, and use Sage to play back. If I recall, there was a thread dealing with the DVD Profiler import that was created/modified to deal with offline dvd's but I don't remember the full details.

Sorry,

Jeff,

The problem you're having... is it on the server or the client? I've got offline DVDs working fine on my server, but on the clients I get just the behavior you describe.

I'm not running the server service. This is a stand-alone box.

So I guess it's the client... looks like I may have to just live with it and keep my wife away from the remote....
