Recommended Blu-Ray Drive

I've been a long time reader and I just took the plunge.

I bought the following a couple of days ago

HP Mediasmart 470
Samsung spinpoint 1tb drive x 2
Gskil 2 gb mem upgrade for server
AMD 2.6Ghz processor upgrade for server.

As soon as I get it running properly, I am going to be purchasing sagetv to put on it.

The one thing I am missing is a dvdrw drive. I would like to go ahead and get a blu-ray reader and DVDRW combo drive.

Can you guys recommend one? For those that have successfully ripped and played blu-ray from their servers, what drives are you using?

I'm looking at this one.

Thanks,
Peter

Hi Peter,

Just sharing what I have encountered. I have the Sony BWU-200S and the previous Blu Ray burner model. They have been great for playback and rips. However I have had issues with both trying to play DVD movies on my pc. I end playing DVD on a non BD drive.

Thanks for the feedback.

Maybe this thread could become a mini review thread.

I searched and really couldn't find anything and online reviews aren't that easy to find either.

My main use would be to rip cd/dvd/blu ray. Playback is important for the blu-ray but not so much for dvd.
