"There is no DVD loaded into the drive. Please check the DVD Drive"

"There is no DVD loaded into the drive. Please check the DVD Drive"

I just installed a LG Blue Ray/HD DVD drive. Installed CyberLink DVD and the HD patch from CyberLink DVD. I bought a HD DVD and tried to play it. It runs fine in CyberLink DVDs player but not in Sage. I have changed the decoder to Cyberlinks but every time I try to play the HD DVD I get the error. I put a regular DVD in the player and it runs in Sage just fine. I dont have a blue ray to test with so I dont know what that will do.

Thoughts please

Because of AACS (or whatever the advanced encryption is called), HD DVD and Blu ray **do not** play in Sage. Those disks, at this point, need to be played through the software that came with the drive.

What you are seeing is exactly what the movie studios want to happen - the software maker that paid licensing fees is able to display the high definition disk, the software maker that did not is *not* able to display it....

the only way to play the content in Sage is to break the encryption, and rip the disk.
