Best OS and Tuner Card for Sage?

Right now I am running WinXP x64, and have an AverMedia M780 (dual tuner atsc/ntsc)...and have found (through help on these forums) that this is a slightly better than horrible combo to use with Sage. Right now the tuner works with the included AverMedia software...which is pretty horrible. The card can be found by sage during install, but will not tune a single station (in either atsc or ntsc)

I will be reformatting to WinXP MCE, and was curious if I should ditch this card, or expect much better performance under the new OS.

Thanks so much for the help!

edit: I'm sorry...I should have mentioned that my main goal is to be able to see both NTSC AND Clear QAM (both I can currently get using my AverMedia Software) with Sage. Did that WinXP 64-bit / M780 / Clear QAM bug ever get fixed? I can't seem to find the answer when I search for it...

I would suggest using WHS as the OS and Hauppauge 1600, 1800, or 2250 cards depending on your mainboard and desires.

Windows Home Server. I'd recommend this too.

WHS = Windows Home Server

HP makes a pre-built version but I'd suggest buying the OEM version and building your own with win2k3 compatible HW for Sage. The pre-built versions seem to be on the weak side.

I wouldn't use anything but WHS for Sage now, personally, but XP MCE 08 will work I'd imagine.
