Any way to specify a favorite record in HD only?

There are a number of shows that I would like to record only in HD and a few I don’t mind if they’re not. Generally speaking, Sage seems to select the HD recordings over SD, but I’ve had a few recordings take place where there is an SD and HD feed running in the same timeslot and for whatever reason, sage selects the SD.

Favorites should already prefer HD over SD. If the EPG doesn't say the show is HD, then SageTV won't know it either.

IR shows, however, simply record wherever they happen to be.

Set the Favorite you always want to record in HD to the HD channel (instead of any). You may start getting conflicts doing this, however - depending on how many HD tuners you have...

I know that Sage already prefers HD feeds but I’ve seen it schedule an SD feed of the same program when there was an HD feed available at the same time. Has anyone else seen this? It generally works ok and this has only happened a few times.

Granted I can specify one specific channel but I’d rather Sage be able to juggle all the HD time feeds. Is there anyway to select multiple channels for a favorite or a range or is that more of a Sage core functionality thing?

If there are scheduling conflicts with the HD airing, then the SD airing could be chosen. In the v6.5 beta, HD airings are more preferred, so to speak, in that they don't need to be airing at the same time or earlier than the SD airing in order to be chosen.

If SageMC doesn't allow selecting multiple channels for a Favorite, use the default STV to configure that.
