Maximum number of songs to play

I have my mp3's on a Lynksis NAS and playing songs has been just fine until about a month ago.

One of my genres has 1412 songs spread over 512 albums. When I navigate to that genre and hit the "Play" button on the Hauppauge remote nothing happens. It used to automatically add all the songs in that genre to the current playlist and begin playing them.

In addition if I hit the OK button it would bring up a menu asking what I would like to do; there I could add all songs to the current playlist or begin playing the songs in the genre which would erase all songs in the current playlists and add these songs which I could then play. Now when I hit 'OK' it enters the genre and shows the artists.

The temporary fix is to go into the genre and add all the artists. But this does not allow me to easily add the new artist because now I have to remember to add them to the playlist.

Anyway, is there a maximum number of songs that the play feature works for?

All system specs are below in my signature, but I have upgraded Sage to 6.3.

Will upgrading to 6.4 fix this?
Any ideas?

not sure if this will help... but I think the issue is with the number of albums. I looked at the STV code and it checks the numer of albums against
the variable music/max_playlist_grouped_add

I don't know if bumping that number up will hurt anything.. but you might give it a try. I don't have any genres larger that 500 albums to try! :-)

To do this, completely exit out of Sage not just sleep it.. then
carefully edit the sage.properties file. (make a backup copy first)

look for

music/max_playlist_grouped_add=500

Change the 500 to something larger.. I don't know if this will break anything else.. someone else might be able to chime in...

Thanks for that. I will try it in a little bit. and let you know.

Anyone else have a similar problem? Anyone at Sage have a problem if I up the above to say 600 or 900?
