Native resolution switching and DVDs

I think that there should be more options to allow for better handling of native resolution output. For example, my DVD backups play much better when I disable the native resolution switching and then the DVD is essentially upscaled. Same goes for SD TV recordings. However, I would prefer to allow for native resolution switching between 1080i and 720p recordings.

Is it possible to enable native resolution switching for HD content and disable it for DVD and SD content?

Thanks

Disable 480i (and maybe 480p) resolution in the extender setup.

Ah, that makes sense. Thanks!

Completely agree. I am in favor of having a table that has video resolution/fps mapped to what the output should be.

See my post that describes this idea more (and more discussion on output switching).

480i through HDMI on my TV does not work, but everything 480p and above does. So I cannot even select 480i. The HD200 setup even detects it correctly. So in my case, I don't have the choice. All SD (& DVD) material gets upscaled to 1080p for my TV. It looks pretty good, but I would rather have native output switching at that resolution.
