This can be done in Studio (the programming environment that the STV is created in). Make a backup of your current STV before messing studio. From a PC Client show the My TV pop-up in the UI, press cntrl+shift+f12. This should bring you to studio and have the part highlighted that is that pop-up window. From there you need to find the widget that displays those two buttons and then reverse their order. Studio is a little tricky at first but if you have some programming you should get the hang of it fairly quickly.

2) if you do a Back from viewing Live or Recorded TV have sage do an automatic Stop. 95% of the time when I leave it is because I'm moving on to something else but I'd like for where I was to be remembered for if I come back later. The whole video on a menu doesn't work for me and I haven't found where to turn it off.

This too i think you can accomplish in studio... find the section of code that controls leaving the recording and add the relevant code to issue a stop command to the player.
