Newbie question: Will Sage run my TV tuner?

Newbie question: Will Sage run my TV tuner?

I've got a Pinnacle USB TV tuner for my laptop, but before I install the HUGE software program that came with it it... if I install Sage will that recognize the tuner? I'd like to skip Pinnacle's software if I can.
