Comskip with sagemc - didnt remove the commercials?

Sorry - I'm new to this feature. I'm using Sagemc and set the comskip to enabled and global but it doe not remove any commercials. Do I have to wait a while for somethiong to run is are the commercials removed at recording time?. Which setting should I use. How does it work. Sorry if the questions seem a bit basic?
I would like the commercials to be removed from the physical file.

Search the forums. You need to install comskip.exe. You will need another program like Comskip Monitor or Dirmon or Dirmon 2 to monitor for the files that will run comskip. You could try to run comskip.exe but copying it into the SageTV directory and enable it within SageMC but I'm not sure if that works. And it definitely doesn't work as well as using the other programs.
