Client behaviour

Not sure what is going on. If I am scrolling through the Live TV EPG with preview on , or just looking for something to watch in he media library, my computer screen behaves fine. The TV though seems to lose the OSD and just have the preview window (enlarged).
My client machine has both a monitor and tV connected to it .
Has this been seen before ?
