Dell+350+2.0.13 = lockup

I was going to put this in as a beta bug, but I couldn't easily find the link to it, so I'll put it here and see if anybody can tell me why. My setup is:

Server: Home built w/ Pent III coppermine, PVR250, 512MB, 250gb drive

Client: New dell 2400, 256mb, pvr350

I installed 2.0.13 sever, client, and 1.5 recorder. I intalled the 1.8.22020 drivers from SHSPVR.com. I love the looks of the new sage and can't wait for it to work. I am using the 350 out to my tv on the client. Everything seemed to be going just dandily until I actually tried to watch something. I selected a recorded show, and it showed about the first second, then lock. It actually didn't lock on the computer for about another three or four seconds. I rebooted, ran it again, and turned on Hardware Only Encoding. It lasted a lot longer (15 seconds or so) then locked up.

Oh well, I don't have the time to completely mess with it, but figured I would put it out here.

Any help would be grand. If not, since this is beta, consider this a bug report. I am certainly not complaining, just reporting. I am back to running 1.4.10.

Take care,
Chris

What motherboard are you using? This is a key factor in whether the PVR-350 is going to work or not with the UI turned on. Without the UI out on the PVR-350, it's been fairly stable for just about everyone I've read about.

There appears to be several motherboards that it simply *DOESN"T* work with.

Specifically, it's been commented on several times that it's known not to work with the majority of the Intel i845 chipset motherboards.

Interestingly enoughm, I've also just found an AMD chipset that it doesn't work with by rebuilding my SAGETV server.. the ECS k75sa. Cheap board, guess I got what I paid for.. good thing I got it from a friend for nothing.
