FFWD/REW causing freezing?

I can't figure this one out... Just re-installed everything, to try to fix the ongoing stuttering problem(to no avail). Now, anytime I try to FF or REW in any way, SageTV will freeze up HARD, and will require closing out via taskmanager.
I have all the latest updates and drivers, usingthe PVR250, no IRQ's being shared, etc...
Anyone else having this problem?

If you are freezing up on playback, then your PVR-250 has nothing to do with the problem. The 250 is only involved in the recording of the file and it is your software decoder that is involved with the playback. I have had numerous problems that I could only blame on the decoder, such as loss of audio, when skipping around the file via FF and RW.

A PVR-350, however, has a hardware decoder and that would be a different story.

well, I tried the NVDVD decoder, and THAT one doesn't freeze, so it must be the latest Intervideo decoder that is causing it.

The nvdvd audio codec will cause freezing and crashing during ff and rw. You are not using that right?

also mixing certain audio and video decoders can cause problems when rewinding and fast fowarding
intervideo seems to be fine for me and play fine with powerDVD
NVDVD audio decoder would crash SAGETV everytime
