Moive/TV Info Screens vs. Fanart

I have the latest version of SageMC installed and I am now using Context Sensitive Fanart. I have downloaded Fanart for almost all shows that I record, including stuff like sports.

I also like the look of jaminben's Movie/TV Info Screens. What are the pros and cons of the Info Screens vs. the Fanart that now comesby default with SageMC (assuming that you enable it)?

I'm not sure your understanding how they work. The fanart is the same with or with out those mods. In fact it's probably best if you get the Fanart setup first and then install the Info screens.

The TV/Movie info screen rearranges the other 'stuff'. The show info, menus, dvd cover art (with reflection), etc. If yo uninstall the info screens the fanart on the background won't change just the menu structure and general layout of the screen.

The only downside I've found to using the Movie Info Screen currently is I can't get it to launch an external player for media like I can with the default SageMC.

Couldn't have put it better myself Basically I rip-off what other proper coders have done and move it all around to make it look better, well IMO look better anyway. I'm still trying to work out how to launch an external player, hopefully I'll have it figured out sooner rather than later.

I figured you were. Still a great mod and I run both TV and Movie info screens even if I can't launch zoom player for blue ray movies. In fact it's these mods that prompted me to set up a Fanart folder and look at the scraping programs available.
