Is Sage multi threaded?

I am starting to consider moving my house over to MediaMVP's to save on some power bills over the full machines I have as clients now. I am running one MVP and getting a little lag probably due to Sage and ComSkip running on my single core 2.5GHz machine. I am thinking of upgrading to a dual core chip and I'm wondering if Sage will take full advantage of the other core.

TIA

Rob

You'll see the most benefit by having a spare core to run comskip with.

Sage is multi-threaded.

Quads are pretty cheap, a 9600 X4 is $100.

Can anyone give me a heads-up on a good board/chip combo and where you bought it? I'm looking to stay sub-$200

Pretty much any 780G board from a tier 1 (Gigabyte, Asus, MSI) mobo maker would work great with the 9600 x4. When paired with a AM2+ proc and fast memory PQ will be excellent, and you save the $ from a discrete video card.

I have a Gigabyte GA-MA78G-DS3HP ($86).
