Wireless remote mouse controller

A friend of mine just pointed this out to me. Pretty cheap for $9.95. Looks like it works like a mouse through your PS/2 port. Anyone see this? I would imagine you could even wake the computer from sleep with this remote.

I just ordered it and am going to try it out. I've been looking for one of these for a long time. It was an option for my BKi810 BookPC that came with a remote ir keyboard. I have my Sage Client hooked up with that keyboard and I think this remote uses the same ps2 receiver. I'll let you know what happens.

I'm heading down the wireless gamepad controller path...Found an app called "joystick 2 mouse 3" that allows a normal gamepad to be used to drive the mouse, click, double-click, and much more...

I've got a wireless Logitech Wingman Rumblepad coming. That should work great for either mousing, or playing MAME on this box.

Wow! That's a cheap remote. I predict that if you like it, they'll have a rush of orders

OK, I ordered this one and it shipped pretty quickly 3-4 days I think. It ships with the ps2 receiver and a floppy disk with the win 95/98 drivers on it. I run win2k on my client. So the bottom line is that the mouse part works great out of the box. I can basically run sage usine the mouse and the right-click button. The other buttons on the remote didn't work right out of the box but I don't know what would happen if I installed the drivers. Basically you can use the mouse and the left and right-click buttons and the scroll-up/down buttons right out of the box. It doesn't work with my USB-UIRT though, I know that. I'll keep messing with it though. If I can get the other buttons working to where I can link the keyboard commands to them, it would be great.

Thanks for the update.

The mouse does wake my machine from standby, unfortunately the page-up key puts my machine into standby. The drivers and software don't work with win2k or xp and the manufacturer, Parex, doesn't have any updated drivers. I have a spare machine that I might try to re-install windows 98 on but who knows when I'll get that done. I really can't wait until there is a MediaMVP version of Sage Client, that would just completely solve all of my problems.
