Can I achieve "persistent" search function?

The ReplayTV DVR has a feature that allows searching for shows that may come up in the future, even if the show is not in the current program guide. Say I'm interested in "Syzygy" - I would like to be able to enter that search term into SageTV, and if there is ever in the future any show with the word Syzygy in the title or description, it would be recorded.

From what I can tell, if SageTV's search does not find a match in the guide, that's as far as you can go. I don't see a way to preserve the search on an ongoing basis.

Is there any way to accomplish this, or some add-in that would support this type of persistent search?

See Adding New Favorites: New by Keyword, starting on p. 66 of the v6.5 SageTV PDF manual.
