Video Renderer set to Overlay?

I found that if I change my video Renderer set to overlay instead of default hockey games (fast camera movement) looks great. However I can't have the signal going to my TV cloning to my monitor in my video card if overlay is turned on. If overlay is turned on I get an "Mpeg2 Stream Error"

I have an Nvidia 5200. Is there any way to fix this besides not having it clone to the monitor?

Thanks.

I think if ou're doing overlay out to the TV and you also have a PC monitor connected you have to make the TV your primary display for it to work. ANd it can only go to one. I think it's that way for any video card.

Could I put another video card in the machine and just use that video card to go to a monitor just to use windows?

PCI Express is the new high speed to end all card bus... (note sarcasm!)

But it is the new thing and suppose to b e fast and take care of a lot of bottlenecks from your cards to your computer.... so get ready to shell out for new boards and new everything to keep up!!

actually they are talking about having mobo's with AGP,PCI, and PCI express
so you can get just a new mobo then upgrade later
probably will be more though than just a pci express board

kevthor,

Try running in Extended desktop mode, you might be able to get Overlay to work on the TV that way.
