Aspect Ratio Question

I am running STV on a Windows XP box and have a few Windows Client's and numerous Linux clients running the Linux PLaceshifter. When I launch either the placeshifter or client, the icons/image placeholders for music album covers, videos etc, all appear stretched as if showing as 16x9 etc. Although the main system/display is an HDTV projector screen, most clients, even with wide-screen, 16x9/10 displays, run the client in a window so 4:3 I guess. How/where can I change how those icons/album covers etc are displayed? Do I need to change the main STV server settings to use 4:3?

Setup--> Detailed Setup --> Multimedia should get what you need. THese settings are for each client, not the Server itself.

Did you set the aspect ratio correctly? Are you on a 4:3 screen?

I actually dont run the client or PS full screen, but in a window. However, all the "displays", laptop, workstation etc, run with widescreen monitors, 1920x1200, 1920x1080 etc. But if I run the client or PS in a window, which shows up square or likely 4:3, I cant figure out why those covers or video placeholders all show stretched?

set the aspect ratio for the size of your physical screen. Sage will work out the proper aspect ratio from there when the window is smaller than the screen.
