YouTube and Google Video

1. I would like my online services YouTube to log into YouTube and have my various video favorites available
2. When I search for YouTube videos on YouTube I get a totally different list of results than in SageTV, and its frustrating. I can't find the video I'm looking for, and the same keywords give it to me as the first result in actual YouTube
3. Perhaps even more frustrating, is that I can usually find the video in the Google Video section but 90% of what is there won't play "The link is not a MPG, AVI or.. file"

Are there any better plugins for YouTube support out there? I doubt I'm the only user hopeless addicted to youtube

Especially since I managed to find the last scene of "Demon Seed" and the whole of "Starship Invasions" and I want to capture them and keep them.. I'm keen for any improvements!!

Yes, I have the same issues with google with 50% of the videos that are not playable ( The link is not a MPG, AVI or.. file) or link missing.

If you are using SageTV v6.6.2, let me know of example Google videos I could check out. If you are not using SageTV v6.6.2, then there is the possibility that the older version can't handle something that got updated for Google videos.

I have version V6.6.1.217 , STV Update 2009080601

For example, in Google videos , I do a search for "Karaoke Leona Lewis".

Some videos do not work such as the following ones :

Number 2 : Tue, 30 Dec 2008 02:50:37 PST
Number 6 : Leona Lewis Yesterday www.vidler.com dated Thu, 28 Aug 2008 19:10:58 PDT
Number 7 : Pesenta e na Avril !!!!!!! www.vbox7.com dated Wed, 31 Dec 1969 16:00:00 PST

They all show a message of "Unable to determine the video file to download"

Number 10 : Watch Leona Lewis - Bleeding love karaoke and hundreds ... dated Wed, 31 Dec 1969 16:00:00 PST

This one shows a message saying "Video does not have MPEG4, FLV or AVI file type"

I'm using 6.2.2 and there's a bunch. I'm at work but in the Top 100 pick any Michael Jackson video (Thriller). I would say about 6 out of 10 would give me the "The link is not a MPG, AVI or.. file" Or it says it doesn't contain an MP4 file or something like that.

The videos they link to are not hosted by Google or YouTube, so they can't be played.
