deleting posts

How do you delete a post you made in error? there's a button that says "delete", but I can only find tools to "alter" the post, not delete it.

Press the delete button. Look on the left hand side for the "delete message" radio button. After choosing that press the "delete this message" button.

And, note that you can only delete posts; you cannot delete a thread (thus, you can't delete the first post of your own new thread).

I've already removed your duplicate topic, though.

ah, ok. First in a thread can't be deleted - but thanks for taking care of it.
