How to get an Extenders Mac Address

Hi,

How would you go about getting an extenders Mac address? I see there is an api call for the IP address (GetLocalIPAddress) but not for the Mac.

I assume it is possible to get this as the webserver uses it and also the extender properties file is named after a machines Mac.

Seached the doc's, forums and default SageTV code but don't see anything.

Cheers

Ben

Would you please explain how you went about this.

I can find the MAC address for a Extender when ran from an extender but I want to find the MAC address of an extender from the Server.

Im playing about with the GetUIContextName API but running into problems with the GetUIContextNames API

In a similar vein.... Is there a method to get a uniquel constant string for any sage connected device (client, placeshifter, or extender). I am thinking the mac address of the particular device would work for this but i dont know how to get the mac address of a client...and would the same call work on the extender?

I know about GetUIContextName() but for clients this returns LOCAL_PROCESS_UI (or something similar).

Any hints?

I didn't see any calls in the Sage API for the MAC, only the IP address. From java you can easily get the MAC address...

Thanks,
Jeff
