ac3 filter being used?

Hi all,
I recently had to rebuild my Sage server. I have a HD-PVR that does my High Def recording. I have the High Def Extenders, and the server sits in the basement and isn't used for watching TV on (just does recordings).

Now that my system is rebuilt, I no longer get DTS audio from my HD-PVR via my HD extender. Clearly I missed a config step somwhere. DO I need to setup my AC3 filter on the server for this? I had it setup before, but wonder if it is being used if I have all extenders.

I also used to use the PowerDVD codec for MP4 recording but no longer have it installed, should I install it and see if that makes a difference?

Thanks for any comments.

I'm a little confused by the above. The Hauppauge HD-PVR doesn't record DTS audio, only DD 5.1. You should not need any decoders for the HD Extenders. What is the recording source for the HD-PVR?

I have FIOS so I take the Component out for video from the STB and put it on the input of the HD-DVR, for audio I use the optical SPDIF out from the STB and attach it to the input of the HD-PVR.

When I say DTS, I only say that becasue when I run all this through my Reciever the blue DTS light lights up. I thought that was DTS but perhaps the reciever is confused and interpreting DD5.1 as DTS.

Since the re-build the reciever light does not light up anymore, which means I am getting basic stereo singal, or some other form of 5.1 that is not as good. There is a difference in sound from what I get now and what I used to get when the light would light up (I was assuming DTS). I was asking if the AC3 filter has any impact on this, or if I should hunt through all the settings in the advanced Sage settings area. Perhaps select a different rendering engine or something.

Are you using the HD200 Extender at the TV? Or PC Client?
Are you connecting to the receiver through HDMI or Optical?
If using the HD200 with the receiver make sure the HD200 is outputting Bitstream.

The HD200 needs no codecs.

EDIT: Had another thought. Have you checked your STB to be sure it still is outputting DD 5.1 and not stereo via optical?

using an HD-100 extender connected via optical SPDIF to the reciever. Ihave not touched the extenders so their setup should be the same as prior to the rebuild

The HD100 doesn't use codecs either so, have you checked your STB to be sure it still is outputting DD 5.1 and not stereo.

I'm not versed in the use of the HD100 so maybe someone else will offer some help.
