What was the procedure you did to download the firmware into the unit?

Thanks,
Jeff

If it really doesn't work on 9.04 with the newest drivers, something is probably wrong with the hardware or the setup. Is it a good USB cable, plugged directly in to the board - not on the front of the chassis or through a hub? Is it reasonably cool? Is the linux CPU reasonably fast?

I guess the good news, though I'm sure it doesn't feel that way right now, is that it's not a 9.10 problem.

The cable should be good, it is the same one that hooks it to the windows machine... The linux box is a few years old, 2 x 3.0Ghz Xeon Dell 2650, but should have plenty of power. It is a tad hot in the office I have it in, but the windows and linux box are right next to each other and it works fine on the windows server.

I guess I will try Hauppauge to see if they may be any help....

Thanks,
Jeff

Nice from Hauppauge...

" Unfortunately, our products are not supported for use on Linux at all. If you have heard they work, it is possible people have made their own drivers or cracks to be able to run the program on Linux. But we do not support that or recommend it. I apologize for the inconvenience. "

Guess I will have to keep it on windows for now...

Thanks,
Jeff

For some reason your firmware is not updated to the latest. Have them help you fix that on Windows then go back to Linux.
